Been building this in my spare time and it’s finally playable enough to show.It’s a tycoon game in the browser. No signup, no install, you just open the link and you’re in it makes a guest account behind the scenes. You start with a coffee cart and the whole point is turning that into a stupidly big empire across different sectors. Real estate, app studios, AI labs, banks, crypto, eventually entire cities.Early on it’s tap to earn, then your businesses start paying out on their own. The part I actually care about is the events though. There’s an AI “director” that keeps throwing stuff at you regulators, scandals, a market crash and you choose how to deal with it (comply, deny everything, double down). Stops every run feeling the same. There’s also a stock market to trade, seasons with a leaderboard, and a ranking/prestige system if you want to reset and climb again.Stack is React + Vite, Hono/Bun for the backend, PocketBase for data.A few things I learned the hard way:• Keep all the game logic server-side. Early on I had the client doing money math and it took about five minutes of playing my own game before I realized anyone could just edit their balance in the console. Moved everything to the backend so the client basically just asks “can I do this?” and the server decides. Should’ve done that from day one.• The admin panel was the best time I spent. I almost skipped it to “just ship the game,” but building a little internal tool to tweak prices, businesses, events etc. without redeploying has saved me probably more hours than it took to build. Now balancing is a slider instead of a deploy.• AI writes code fast but it’ll happily paint you into a corner. It’s incredible for momentum but if you don’t stop and actually read what it’s doing, you end up with stuff that’s coupled in weird ways and a refactor you didn’t budget for. I got burned a couple times taking a working feature at face value.• The fun is in the tuning, not the features. Adding a new mechanic is the easy dopamine hit. Making the economy actually feel good to play is the real work, and it’s mostly not done yet.What’s left on the list: proper PvP / hostile takeovers, deeper AI storylines, generated art for everything (some’s still emoji placeholders), a lot of balance passes, better mobile/offline since it’s a PWA, and account linking so you don’t lose your save.Fair warning, it’s on a testing domain still so stuff will break and I might wipe saves while I’m messing with it. For context i am currently a 16 year old boy who lives in the netherlands and i am completely lost. Arround 1 year ago i was maybe thinking i am trans it started mostly when i got a boner yes i know it sounds strange but i also started thinking that way a bit more when i was in a normale state but eventually i just stuffed the feeling away and got on with live. But now recently i startes thinking about it again and mostly when i have a boner but i just dont know what to do or how to find out who i am. My parents wont accept it if i will tell them so talking to someone isnt an option. I can maybe purchase stuff with things like crypto so my parents wont see it. But i am just so lost. Hi everyone, I’ve been in the crypto space for about 4-5 years now and honestly could never crack the code. Would see people 20x-50x and just like everyone else I would try to chase that anomaly. After loosing money, by either buying the wrong coin by getting influenced by these “crypto gurus” or just buying into the hype. I started looking in more on what some of the most successful traders do. I came across this concept of setting buying and selling tiers. For those who don’t know (like me at some point ) it’s basically a target price you set to either buy or sell a certain coin. In essence making sure you harvest as your profits grow so you’re not just standing there holding the bag, or to strategically buy the dip. I would suggest everyone do their own research.But anyways, I use to struggle on how to actually calculate these tiers, and understand how much to take out, when to harvest etc. I tried watching videos and getting help from AI but tbh AI doesn’t really get my financial situation and just basic human nature. And to be fair at times I just forgot that I needed to buy or sell. Missed out on some real moon shots. So after a lot of calculations I made on my phone and countless hour I made a tool which helps calculate your portfolio value, set and calculate tiers with percentages, and has the ability to send email notifications when you reach those tiers. (I’m still working on building the datebase to be able to send those notifications) so will add an update if anyone’s interested.I honestly made it because I thought I’m sure there are many people who are in similar boats as me and who knows it could help someone. Hi, I’ve looked around this sub and can’t seem to find the answer to my question so forgive me if somebody has already asked the question. I have been receiving payments in crypto for the past year from various different people (no I’m not a drug dealer! :D) 99% has been in stable coins but now I’m wondering if I withdraw that money do I pay any tax on it? Also will HMRC ask me for proof that none of it is profit? I didn’t keep track of every transaction as there’s probably been 50+ over the space of a year. Copy Fail allows privilege escalation on Linux distributions. The root cause is due to an AEAD encryption bug, writing 4 bytes beyond the AEAD tag.
