Experts have said money is just a concept. The concept of money or the history of money and how it evolve is very interesting. It originated in China. Chinese goldsmiths issued receipts on how much gold a person posses. These receipts can be use to buy things. Later these goldsmiths became bankers. On those paper you can see the words "back and guaranteed by the government... ". Before it was back by gold today it's only a guarantee of governments. OTH crypto is digital gold.
