Interested to know what peoples opinions are btc vs stocks. When I was 17 and I was always interested in bitcoin/crypto but could never buy any due to not being old enough and probs not having any money. I started an apprenticeship and worked for £6.50 an hour, whilst working there met someone who was heavily invested in btc and helped educate me a lot. Come the Jan 2023 (19) i invested 5k (At the time and tbf still is now a lot of money for me). I held up until October 2025 and pulled out my money. Come out with basically 20k ish. About a year ago I started investing in stocks, started picking boring stocks at first and now have some good gainers like AMD at almost 300 percent gain. I planned to get back in btc come q4 of this year, hopefully aiming to buy 1 full coin and wait for the next run but I can’t help feel not too convinced about sitting and waiting essentially 4 years for the next cycle top for potentially a 400% gain? When I feel like the stock market has potentially better gains much quicker? For me btc is easy put 30k in forget for 4 years come back and have made 120k. Where as I feel like stock market will return better in a shorter time AND…here in the U.K. we have the stocks and shares isa so no tax on gains.
