Hello, I had an optiplex 7040 mt I was planning on adding a GTX 980 ti to, I needed to upgrade the PSU and I bought the redragon psu015 (It was b tier on spl's PSU tier list so I thought it'd be fine), I was getting to the point of trying to test it and then as I tried the first boot, nothing, (yes I shorted power pins) tried a bunch with a bunch of different cables than nothing, as I tried the last time I just heard a massive POP coming from where I assume to be my pc, it happened a few seconds after I pressed the button and I wasn't looking at it so no clue if it was the PSU or not, is there any obvious signs what it could be and if I should give it another shot? I'm not 100 percent sure where the pop came from, i searched PSU exploding noises and it sounded similar but not exact, mine was louder and like more harsh.What to do? via /r/techsupport https://ift.tt/T2lhNin
